Over £3,900 raised for Redgate Sports

We are thrilled to announce that, over the last two years, SME Solicitors has raised £3,984.67 for Redgate Sports, a local charity dedicated to creating sports opportunities for young people.

Since our partnership with Redgate Sports began in May 2024, the team at SME Solicitors has been hard at work finding opportunities to raise money for this fantastic cause. Fundraisers include sweepstakes, pumpkin carving competitions, Christmas jumper days and coffee mornings.

2025 ended on a high note, with our Charity Quiz, where we raised £1793.78 with the support of Worcestershire’s business community. The evening was a resounding success, with teams commenting on the friendly and competitive atmosphere, variety of questions and quality catering. The event was held at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

The work they do to give young people access to sport is brilliant and we're really pleased to have supported them. We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has come together over the last two years to support this important cause.”

Since its official launch in June 2024, Redgate Sports has made excellent progress, now supporting over 300 children weekly across around 70 schools in Worcestershire and Warwickshire. The charity aims to reach over 1,000 children with sport and mentoring support over the course of 2026.

Dan Thorp, founder of Redgate Sports, says, “SME have been a great support to us over the last couple of years and they have been a big part of the work we do. The money they have raised has, of course, been amazing. However, they have also helped us to raise our profile in the local community with some amazing fundraising events. The SME team have also been really supportive practically; it has been great to work with a local company that is so friendly and keen to be involved and to help.”

The funds we have raised over the last two years will go directly towards expanding the charity's reach and providing even more opportunities for children across Worcestershire and beyond.
