SME Solicitors offers an individually tailored service for the recovery of both private and commercial debts.

As part of our debt recovery service, we provide a fast, cost-effective and hassle-free process to recover money owed to you, long before a crisis develops. We will act swiftly to assess the situation and liaise with you and the debtor to establish why payment has not been made and recover monies wherever possible.

Our team is committed to ensuring that court action is used only as a last resort.

SME Solicitors' debt recovery services include:

  • Issuing a 14-day initial contact letter to the debtor
  • Issuing court action where the debt is in dispute and representing you throughout
  • Issuing winding-up proceedings against a company
  • Liaising with administrators on your behalf, where the debtor has gone into administration
  • Mediating between the parties to negotiate a settlement, or payment by instalments
  • Preparing statutory demands and arranging for personal service upon the debtor
  • Preparing bankruptcy petitions and representing your interests as the petitioning creditor in court

Please see our Debt Recovery Pricing page for more information on the costs involved.
