Fee earner – Wills and Probate Department


We require an experienced fee earner (paralegal, Legal Executive or Solicitor) to join our busy and reputable Wills and Probate Department. You will be working within an established team dealing with a high volume of private client work.


Main duties of the role:


• Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and associated documentation.
• General estate planning advice. IHT planning advice would be an advantage but not a requirement.
• Dealing with Court of Protection matters and running Attorney and Deputy files, working with the Partner appointed as the Attorney or Deputy.
• Dealing with the Administration of Estates, with or without a will.
• Trust drafting, documentation and administration would be an advantage but not a requirement.
• Taking instruction, either in or out of the office, as required to meet the needs of the client.
• Providing a high level of client service.
• Working as part of a close team, providing support as required to existing and future members of the Department.


Skills knowledge and abilities

• Sound legal knowledge of the law in this area.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• To be highly organised in running your own caseload.
• To have excellent drafting and communication skills.
• To have excellent client care skills.
• To be IT literate and be able to use a document management system.


Salary: Market rate depending upon experience.
