On Friday, 17 April, Jess Aldersey, Sam Lloyd, Rachael Watson and Jack Stirzaker participated in Sensory Matters Community Action Day.
The primary aim was to tidy up the charity's premises at the Bradbury Centre, including its garden, parking spaces and accessible walkways. The charity plans to run a gardening club for its clients with the freshly cleared space.

Lois Taylor, Marketing and Fundraising Lead at Sensory Matters Worcestershire, commented: "On 17 April, a team of volunteers from SME Solicitors made a significant and immediate impact during our Community Hands-on Day at Sensory Matters Worcestershire. Their hard work transformed our outdoor area into a safer, more accessible and welcoming space for the people we support.
Across the day, volunteers cleared overgrown pathways, cut back bushes, removed rubbish and revitalised flower beds. These improvements have widened access routes, reduced hazards and created a calmer, more organised environment for visitors who rely on clear, predictable spaces.
We are deeply grateful to SME Solicitors for their enthusiasm, teamwork and commitment to supporting our charity and, in turn, supporting people accessing our services who are blind, partially sighted, d/Deaf, hard of hearing or living with dual sensory loss."
We are thrilled to hear from the charity's Head of Operations that our efforts have already made a difference to their staff and clients. We look forward to continuing our partnership over the coming year.
