SME Solicitors & Redgate Sports: a New Partnership

SME Solicitors has never been a firm to shy away from charitable causes and helping others where they can. Their infamous Annual Quiz, led by Partner Guy Salter and deemed to be 'The Worcestershire Business Circuit's Toughest Quiz', has been a long-standing hit with many local businesses, with all proceeds from the evening going to the firm’s chosen charity.

After a successful 2023 supporting the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, it only seemed natural for SME Solicitors to throw themselves wholeheartedly into another worthy charitable cause. Redgate Sports is the firm's chosen Charity of the Year for 2024.

Redgate Sports, founded and run by Dan Thorp, supports children aged between 7 and 18 years who face numerous challenges in their day-to-day lives. The charity supports children with SENDs, children living in care or from low-income families and those that are considered 'vulnerable'.

SME Solicitors, well known for its commitment to getting involved with local charities, felt compelled by Redgate Sports' aims to make a lasting difference in young people's lives. Ian Stirzaker, Senior Partner commented, "For many years we have encouraged and sponsored youth sport across the county and Redgate gives us a great opportunity to combine our wish to promote a healthy lifestyle whilst also assisting young people who really do need our help."

Throughout the year, there are several fundraising events taking place. Firstly, the charity's launch event is due to take place at the Worcester Warriors Foundation, Royal Porcelain Works on Wednesday 26 June from 5:00pm-6:30pm.

The new partnership hopes to support Redgate Sports with its growth and help give the charity the recognition and funding it deserves.
